《VISUANO》这一名称是来自Visual和Piano这两个单词，代表了将钢琴或其它传统器乐演奏进行现场视觉化演绎的创作宗旨。其最初是Parsons设计学院与美国巴尔的摩交响乐团以及Mannes音乐学院共同发起的“未来演出媒介”跨界合作项目的邀约作品，2013年5月在纽约首演获得成功。该项目课题由纽约Parsons设计学院发起，特邀美国巴尔的摩交响乐团协助指导。服装设计团队与新媒体设计团队共同合作完成对于未来交响乐团服装的改良设计。

《Visuano》作品的特色是将钢琴演奏者、钢琴琴身和舞台环境共同作为投影影像的载体，将投影影像直接投射在演奏者的服装以及乐器琴身上，连同背景的投射影像共同组成多层次的视觉体验。作品用到了投影对位技术、三维摄像头动态捕捉技术、数字声音可视化技术等。现场音乐会实时驱动视觉效果的生成，演奏者的表演姿势也会被捕捉并转化为与视觉动画实时互动的元素。

VISUANO is from a performance event presented by Parsons The New School for Design with Mannes College The New School for Music and The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.Visuano is a new media piano performance with real-time music visualizations by a live projection mapping system. Pianist wears a satin and muslin dress with a cape that designed as a wearable screen to cast video projections.

The visual ellements are combinations of real-time generative animation and various video footages that could be reactive to live piano music. A visual story is created from the inspiration of the music piece “The Serpent’s Kiss” - a ragtime style music by American composer William Bolcom.
