摘要

虚拟现实(VR)技术以其独特的全景技术和交互技术特色,正深刻地改变着传统电影的观赏方式。参与者由过去的静态观看转变为动态体验和探索电影中的世界。这一转变挑战了传统电影叙事方法在虚拟现实媒介上的适用性。同时数字媒体的发展也对沉浸式体验和互动性提出了新的需求。鉴于此,研究和探索适用于虚拟现实媒介的叙事语言成为了一个重要的课题。本研究旨在探讨基于互动叙事理论的适用于虚拟现实的叙事策略。

本论文分为理论分析和设计实践两个主要部分。其中理论分析部分探讨了虚拟现实的历史和未来趋势、互动叙事理论的演变过程以及二者交叉领域的研究成果。通过研究,对虚拟现实与互动叙事的核心概念进行界定,识别互动叙事在实践中面临的挑战——互动与叙事如何有机结合,并提出切实可行的解决策略。

在此基础上,本文的设计实践部分结合案例分析与用户反馈,对虚拟现实中的互动叙事方法进行了细化与优化,提出了针对虚拟现实互动叙事作品创作的具体设计要点。

综上,笔者认为虚拟现实技术在空间成像、自然交互方面的显著优势和其第一视角的特点促进了参与者在叙事过程中的“具身”参与感,并使其成为更加适合实施互动叙事的媒介。在进行虚拟现实作品设计的时候,应注重创造可体验探索的空间、多感官设计和接近现实的交互,并将用户行为转化为叙事要素为叙事想表达的意义服务。

ABSTRACT

Virtual reality (VR) technology profoundly changes the traditional way of viewing movies with its unique panoramic and interactive technological features. The shift from static viewing in the past to dynamic experience in the world of film has challenged the conventional narrative methods in movies. At the same time, the development of digital media has created new demands for immersive experiences and interactivity. Because of this, researching and exploring narrative language applicable to virtual reality has become an important topic. This study uses interactive narrative theory to explore appropriate narrative strategies for virtual reality.

This thesis contains two main parts: theoretical analysis and design practice. The theoretical analysis part explores virtual reality's history and future trends, the evolution of interactive narrative theory, and the research results in the intersection of the two. Through this approach, this study aims to define the core concepts of virtual reality and interactive narrative, identify the challenges faced by interactive narrative in practice——how interaction and narrative work together, and propose practical solutions.

On this basis, the design practice section of this paper combines case studies and user feedback to refine and optimize the interactive narrative approach in virtual reality. It proposes specific design guidelines for creating interactive narrative works for virtual reality.

In summary, the author believes that the significant advantages of virtual reality technology in spatial imaging, natural interaction, and its first-perspective characteristics promote users' sense of "embodied participation" in the narrative process and make it a more suitable medium for implementing interactive narratives. When designing virtual reality works, we should focus on creating spaces that can be experienced and explored, multi-sensory design, interaction similar to reality, and transforming user behavior into narrative elements that serve the meaning the narrative wants to express.
